Louisiana paralegal positions going unfilled…

Been in contact today with a VSA (Very Stressed Administrator), from a firm in Metairie, LA. One of the many effects of Katrina is the scarcity of candidates to fill open positions. There are good-paying jobs going unfilled because no one is there to start work!

For example, this firm seeks two experienced paralegals to work with a senior partner. The ideal candidate should posess a good work ethic, ability to learn, great people skills, & preferably have experience in insurance defense. The firm will definitely consider a smart entry-level paralegal with a certificate who is eager to learn. They would also like candidates to have experience with admiralty law, but will train.

The salary is up to $40,000 for an experienced paralegal, a very good salary for that part of the country. They will also consider an excellent legal secretary who wants to work as a paralegal. The firm cannot consider relocation expenses at this time.
